Visa Guidelines

Foreign Nationals are required to apply for a conference visa
  • Type of Visa : Conference Visa
  • Period : For the Duration of the conference. Please note that in general the Indian visa is valid beginning on the day it is issued. So a 3 month visa issued on June 1 would be valid until August 31, so please verify with the local Indian consulate before applying for the visa.

  • Foreign participants should have a valid Indian Visa before they start their journey to India. Visa application form is available at the office of Indian Embassy in the country. Visas can be applied for in person or by post at the High Commission of India based in the country where from the candidate intends to depart for India. Please apply for VISA for all the participants and other visitors accompanying you on the earliest possible.
    The following documents are generally required for obtaining Indian Visa; the requirement may vary from country to country.

    List of Documents

  • 1. Print out of the online application form duly signed
  • 2. Passport valid for a minimum of 180 days with at least two blank pages
  • 3. Visa fee
  • 4. Two recent passport size photographs (check the local Indian consulate for the specification of photo)
  • 5. Original and copies of the signed Letter of Invitation and
          Approval letter 1
          Approval letter 2 ,
          Clearance letter from Ministry of External Affairs and
          MHRD approval letter
          MHA approval letter
         State clearance letter
    from PBM2013 Secretariat or download it
  • 6. A copy of the letter from your Institution granting you to attend the PBM2013 conference
