As researchers studying the nucleation of NaCl in salt solutions, we use a technique called molecular simulation to better understand how salt crystals form in water. By using computer algorithms to simulate the behavior of individual salt particles and water molecules in a solution, we can observe how these particles interact and form clusters, which eventually grow into larger crystals. Our goal is to gain insights into the underlying mechanisms of salt crystal formation, with the hope of developing new materials or processes that can be useful in a wide range of applications.
