Research Details

We use a non-local continuum model to study slow granular flows, which considers dilatancy. Our interest lies in its to application complex geometries like screw feeders. We derive transport equations for these flows and solve them using numerical techniques such as the Finite Difference Method and Finite Element Method. We also develop theoretical models for boundary conditions and conduct experiments to enhance our understanding of granular flow mechanics.
