Research Topic: Effect of 25-hydroxycholesterol in viral membrane fusion
I study how membrane fusion carried out by enveloped RNA virus, namely Dengue virus, is affected by the membrane lipid composition, primarily the inhibition by oxysterols. I use supported and suspended lipid bilayer membranes as model membranes for this. An inexhaustive list of instrumentations I use for the study includes TIRF microscopy, fluorimeter, AFM, and Confocal microscopy.
