Prospective Postdoctoral Fellows
IISc ChemE hosts postdoctoral fellows aspiring to initiate an independent career in advanced research, development, and academia. The diverse and enriching environment at the department allows for all-round development of the postdoctoral fellows and provides an opportunity to undertake ground-breaking research and jumpstart their career. Interested candidates should contact individual faculty members based on their research interests, to inquire about available positions and funding.

The department also welcomes applications for postdoctoral positions under CV Raman postdoctoral fellowship program, as well as the Institution of Eminence (IoE) postdoctoral fellowship program offered by the Indian Institute of Science.

Applications for CV Raman and IoE postdoctoral positions are welcome throughout the year. Candidates must first contact a faculty member in the department who is willing to host the candidate. A consent letter or consent email is required from the faculty member as a part of the application package. Candidates should apply using the fillable PDF form available at https://chemeng.iisc.ac.in/post-docs

The following documents are required along with the application:

  • Curriculum Vitae with a list of all publications

  • PDF files of at least two and up to five important publications

  • Proposed research plan (up to 500 words)

  • Consent letter or email from faculty member. Please get in touch with the faculty member offline and obtain the consent of the faculty member for hosting you

  • PDF file of PhD degree certificate, or provisional PhD degree awarded certificate, or PhD thesis submitted certificate

  • Any other relevant information the applicant may like to furnish

  • The filled-out PDF form must be saved as a PDF file, and a single PDF file needs to be prepared along with the required documents. This single PDF file must be emailed to the Office of Deans of Divisions, Indian Institute of Science, at the email address: office.divdeans@iisc.ac.in , with a copy to the faculty member who is willing to host the candidate.
